Allie P. Reynolds Award & Scholarship

The Oklahoma City Dodgers Baseball Foundation is proud to accept nominations for the inaugural class of the Allie P. Reynolds Citizenship Award. All Oklahoma High School softball and baseball players in their sophomore year through senior year for the 2023-24 academic year are eligible for nomination for this award which will be presented by the Oklahoma City Dodgers Baseball Foundation. Nominations must be submitted via Google form by a coach, teacher or Athletic Director at the school at which the student attends. The deadline for nominations is Mar. 15, 2024. One baseball and one softball player will be selected to receive this prestigious honor.

The award is named in honor of Allie P. Reynolds, an Oklahoma native who achieved a legendary 13-year pitching career with the Cleveland Indians and New York Yankees (1942-54) before returning to Oklahoma City to serve his community as a business and civic leader for decades. Mr. Reynolds was involved in many community causes over the years and was particularly invested in causes related to the promotion of youth sports and the promotion of Native American culture. The award recipient will be chosen by a select committee based on the following criteria:

A - Athletic Performance
L - Leadership on the field
L - Leadership off the field
I - Involvement in the community
E - Educational success

Each Allie P. Reynolds Citizenship Award recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship and a plaque signifying their accomplishment.
